McDonald Textiles recommend that items are hand-washed in cold water using a reputable wool detergent. You can then spin away any excess water on a gentle spin cycle in a washing machine before air-drying. Small items like gloves or socks can be gently squeezed within a towel to get excess water out from the wool instead of the washing machine cycle.
Then lay any clothing flat and dry away from direct sunlight.
There’s no need to wash McDonald Textiles items after every use. The organic fibres in each item naturally resist odour build-up so you can use less energy and water from washing.
